Impressionism with French, Art and MusicIn Music, the students studied the style and compositional techniques of Romantic/Impressionist composer, Claude Debussy. They then used a painting by Claude Monet to inspire their own compositions.

The M1 students have been working on an interdisciplinary unit of work combining Music, Art and PE. The task was to compose and sequence a dance track for which they will ultimately design dance wear in Art and choreograph their own dance in PE.

Leah's song
We are excited to share our first local artist with you! M4 student, Leah Amaral has a song on the radio and on YouTube called “Read my Mind”. Leah sang and wrote the song herself and then recorded it with Leroy Francis at L. Francis Productions Studio. She played the guitar and he arranged the music. We are thrilled for Leah as she just had confirmation that it will be included on the new “Ride the Wave” CD (a compilation of songs featuring all local artists)! You can also call in and request "Read my Mind" by Leah Amaral at Mix 106 or see her at the concert this summer for the various artists. The Slideshow of her song can be found on YouTube and here!
